HOW TO CHOOSE A HOTEL

Is it better to choose a hotel near the airport or the city centre?

In my opinion it is better to choose a hotel near the city centre as usually you want to visitshops, monuments etc. that are in the city centre area and the transportation cost in most of the countries are high.
